SEOUL, April. 20 (Yonhap) -- As Moonbin of the group Astro has suddenly passed away on Wednesday, his colleagues in the entertainment industry are paying tribute.
According to Astro's agency on Thursday, member Cha Eun-woo is currently returning home from the U.S. and is scheduled to arrive in Korea on the same day.
Moon Sua of the group Billlie, Moonbin’s younger sister, has canceled this week's schedule and is guarding the mortuary. Billlie’s agency Mystic Story posted a notice on its official fan cafe and said, "The schedule for this week has been canceled and postponed."
Entertainment colleagues are in shock by the sudden sad news.
Broadcaster Kwon Hyuk-soo said on his personal SNS, "I love you so much. I'm sorry, thank you, and I miss you. Don't get sick and take care," he wrote in memory.
Broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu mentioned the deceased on MBC radio's "Good Morning FM Jang Sung-kyu," which aired this morning, saying, "He was so bright when I saw him recently. I can't believe this news. Rest in peace." he said.
Musical actor Kim Ho-young also posted a picture of white chrysanthemum flowers on social media, saying, "My heart is heavy. I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise to buy you a meal," he posted.
Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul at 8:10 p.m. the previous day.
Moonbin, who debuted in the music industry with the group Astro in 2016, has been active as a main dancer and sub-vocalist.
The mortuary has been set up at Asan Medical Center in Seoul.
