SEOUL, October 4 (Yonhap) -- The Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs announced on Tuesday that they will be starting to promote Korean fresh agricultural products and traditional foods through K-dramas and Hallyu content.
They will be promoting ginseng (red ginseng) and cut flowers starting with the drama "The Law Cafe,"
Moreover, they are going to promote Kimchi and fermented sauce food recipes through OTT, online streaming platforms such as Netfilx, View, and many more.
They will also work in collaboration with influencers to make videos and photos regarding agricultural products and use it for their marketing.
Food Industry Policy Officer Yang Pil-ju said, "We will put in an effort to enforce the marketing of traditional foods and fresh agricultural products and notice the premium image of Korean agricultural products to expand the exports of the products."
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the export income of food and drinks has increased from 680 million dollars to 1.5 billion through Hallyu.
