SEOUL, May 27 (Yonhap) -- Two final films featuring the late actor Lee Sun-kyun, who passed away last year, will grace theaters this summer.
Distributor CJ ENM announced on the 27th that the thriller film 'Project Silence' (hereinafter 'Escape'), starring Lee Sun-kyun, will be released in July.
Following the confirmed August release of another film starring Lee, 'Land of Happiness,' audiences will have the chance to see both of his final works approximately a month apart.
Directed by Kim Tae-gon, 'Escape' portrays the harrowing ordeal of people stranded on a bridge leading to the airport as they are attacked by killer guard dogs.

Lee Sun-kyun plays the role of Jung-won, a security official, leading the narrative. Ju Ji-hoon portrays Jo-bak, a tow truck driver who does anything for money, and Kim Hee-won plays Dr. Yang, the chief researcher of 'Project Silence,' which involves the guard dogs.
The film was screened as a world premiere in the Midnight Screenings section at the 76th Cannes Film Festival last year.
During the same festival, Lee Sun-kyun also walked the red carpet for the premiere of Yoo Jae-sun's 'Sleep,' making his presence felt through two films.
