SEOUL October 14 (Yonhap) -- “I have sang a lot of songs where I shout, and I have participated in a music competition, I wanted to try out more melodic and mild track.” address South Korean singer KCM.
Couple years back South Korean singer KCM visited Yangyang city within Northern Gyeongsang province. On a pitch black night where neither city lights nor noise ceased to exist, the artist looked up at the night sky filled with numerous stars.
While I was gazing in to the beauty of the night sky, I found a young couple holding their hand together staring at the stars.
It wasn’t intentionally set or staged; the romantic site motivated me to write my track “Night of Beautiful Stars.”
Throughout the interview conducted with Yonhap News Agency, the artist stated “I am at that point in life where I tend to lean towards comfort.” adding “It is a generic ballad track however, I have tried even harder to loosen up.”
KCM who recently turned 40, kicked off his career as a singer in 2003 with his track “I Know” featured in S.Korean drama “Punch.” Continuing on with his career he released his first full length album which included “Black and White Photos,” “Dear My Eunyoung” and more and rose to the fame in mid 2000 era.
Artist KCM featured on to the TV program “How Do You Play” during the series of “MSG Wannabe” where they form a project group, which lead KCM to the spotlight once again.
“Being part of the MSG Wannabe is the biggest turning point of my life.” adding “throughout my musical career I was living in a solitude, however, those moments have turned into joy and happiness by working as a part of the MSG Wannabe.” addressed KCM during the interview.
According to the artist, the group chat created over a year ago for the project group “MSG Wannabe” is still hot and actively alive until today.
“MSG Wannabe’s unit group M.O.M’s new album is currently undergoing the production plan, and we are aiming to release it within the first quarter of 2023,” adding “Overcoming the obstacles with my members make me very happy.” KCM showed his love for the group throughout the interview.
The artist will be hosting a solo concert named “Night of Beautiful Stars” at the “100th Anniversary Memorial Hall” within Yonsei University in November 5 and 6.
“I haven’t had any concert for the past 6 years before I hosted mine on 2021. Therefore my fans and music listeners were very sad, however I plan on releasing tracks more frequently and plan to host concerts every year, continuing on I would like to continue on with my music career for next 10 to 20 years.” artist KCM described throughout the interview.
