SEOUL, September 6 (Yonhap) -- The new KBS ideal romantic comedy drama "Love According to Law" started off with an audience rate of around 7%.

The first episode of KBS 2TV's "Love According to Law" broadcast on September 5 at 9:50 p.m. had an audience rate of 7.1% according to the data by Nielson Korea on Tuesday.

It is considered a good start to be compared to the previous drama "Café Minamdang" (5.7%), which was broadcast at the same time, and the KBS Wednesday-Thursday drama "If You Wish Upon Me," which had a 3.6% audience rate on the first episode.

The first episode of the drama depicted Kim Jeong-ho (Lee Seung-gi) and Kim Yu-ri (Lee Se-young), who were friends for 17 years, encountering each other after a long time as a landlord and a new tenant, and they have little arguments.

Kim Jeong-ho suddenly broke up on Kim Yu-ri while they were dating during college, and he avoided her all the time, but the drama hinted that there was a story where he had no choice but to break up, raising questions about the future development.

"Love According to Law" is an examplary of a romantic comedy that both flatters and makes the audience laugh. The developing relationship from friends to couple between Kim Jung-ho, who seems careless from the outside but is actually sweet, and Kim Yu-ri, who is lively and silly, draws out the familiar fun.

The composition of the two main characters looking at the camera in the form of an interview and sharing their feelings is also eye-catching.

Kim Yu-ri expresses her anger while looking at the camera and saying, "He is always like this. He is crazy "and Kim Jung-ho honestly expresses his feelings: "Why do I do this? It's because I like her. "

Mainly, the strong acting skills of the two actors are praised for making use of the charm of the characters, which might have looked excessive, and for enhancing the sense of immersion even in obvious story lines.

Lee Se-young could naturally act out the unique character, an attorney who wears a leopard-printed outfit on the day of court, and Lee Seung-gi also adds to the fun of portraying the male character, who people think of as a local bum, in a generous way.
