SEOUL, Sept. 8 (Yonhap) -- Hit musical "Maybe Happy Ending," which swept six trophies at the Tony Awards in the United States, will return to the stage in October to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its premiere in South Korea, its production company said Monday.

NHN Link said the anniversary production will run from Oct. 30 to Jan. 25, 2026, at the Doosan Art Center’s Yeongang Hall in Seoul.

Set in near-future Seoul, the show tells the story of Oliver and Claire, helper robots who gradually come to understand the emotion of love.

Created by Will Aronson and Hue Park, the musical made its Broadway debut last year with an international cast and crew. At this year’s Tony Awards, it became the first Korean original musical to win six categories, including best musical, best actor and best score.

For the 10th anniversary production, actresses Jeon Mi-do and Choi Soo-jin will reprise the role of Claire from the 2016 premiere, while Park Ji-yeon, Park Jin-joo and Bang Min-ah will also take turns in the role.

Actor Kim Jae-bum, who starred in the premiere, will once again play Oliver, alongside Shin Sung-min, Jeon Sung-woo and Jung Hwi. The role of Oliver’s former owner James will be played by Lee Si-an, Go Hun-jung and Park Se-hoon.

The upcoming production will expand its capacity to 550 seats from the previous 350 and introduce fresh perspectives and interpretations.

"It feels like a small miracle that the show has continued for this long," Aronson and Park said in a statement. "We hope that audiences newly encountering 'Maybe Happy Ending' will find in its story and music a gentle encouragement and comfort that opens hearts to one another."

The creators also said they plan to stage a Korean adaptation of the Broadway production following the anniversary run.
