SEOUL, Aug. 3 (Yonhap) -- Actor Yoo Teo is set to lead A24’s upcoming film, “Past Lives.” A24 was the American production and distribution company of “Minari” (2020).
Yoo and Korean-American actress Greta Lee are preparing for filming with director Celine Song scheduled for the end of 2021, according to Deadline, American Hollywood Entertainment news media, on Aug. 2 (local time).
John Magaro will take a key supporting role and CJ Entertainment is co-producing the film.
“Past Lives”, the director’s debut film, depicts a love story of a childhood couple reuniting as adults after leading a similar life.
Song is a Korean who debuted as a writer in America and is in the verge of starting a career as a director.
She took part as a staff in Amazon series “The Wheel of Time” starring Rosamund Pike. She also released a play, “Endlings”, in American Repertory Theater in Cambridge. The play featured stories of three elderly Korean women living in Manjaedo, South Jeolla Province.
