SEOUL, Oct. 4 (Yonhap) -- South Korea’s first virtual artist, APOKI, is returning with a fresh musical direction in her new single, Super Duper Ride, released on October 4 at 1 PM KST on global music platforms, according to VV Entertainment.
Super Duper Ride is APOKI’s first EDM pop track and her first release since Nu Boo in May, showcasing an energetic, futuristic sound. The song, which explores themes of confidence and adventure beyond limits, combines European electronic music vibes with retro house beats. APOKI’s robotic yet powerful vocals contribute to a futuristic atmosphere, while a catchy chorus accentuates the song's escalating excitement.
The phrase Super Duper Ride encapsulates the exhilarating journey the song represents, underscored by dynamic rhythms and changes in beat. The music video, designed to amplify this high-energy experience, portrays APOKI’s journey through a neon-lit cyber universe. It uses retro visual effects like 70s-style TV noise and grain, enhancing the track’s adventurous and nostalgic feel. Fast-paced visuals and effects illustrate a story of overcoming limits, blending the coolness of technology with the warmth of human aspirations.
Produced by Coach & Sendo and Cazzi Opeia, who have worked with K-pop acts such as BTS, aespa, NCT 127, TWICE, and Super Junior, Super Duper Ride carries a high pedigree in production.
APOKI, who debuted in February 2021 with GET IT OUT, has since garnered over 5 million followers on social media, thanks to her distinct 3D visuals, trendy music, and unique storytelling.
