SEOUL, Mar. 25 (Yonhap) -- Korea Broadcasting System’s daily television series "Love in Eyes," following the story of a single mother in her 20s, has wrapped up with an average national rating in the range of 17 percent.

The finale of this daily series, aired at 8:30 p.m. Friday, recorded a rating of 17.3 percent.

The final episode featured a happy ending of the single mother Lee Young-yi (played by Bae Nuri) with her second love, Jang Kyung-joon (Baek Sung-hyun), who came to her like destiny. Meanwhile, her daughter, Kim Mi-na (Yoon Chae-na), heals from leukemia by Kyung-joon donating his bone marrow, and the three finally become a family.

The series then shows Lee after two years, who gives birth to her second child and also continues her career after getting promoted to an assistant manager. Meanwhile, Kyung-joon marks the very first vice president to take a parental leave and take care of his child.

The series, which kicked off with a rating of 16.1 percent, seemed to depict a calm, soft romance from the beginning to the end. However, as illicit activities related to Lee’s ex-husband’s murder were revealed in the second half of the series, the drama also received negative reviews pointing out that it had lost its appeal and character.

Since then, the ratings did not rise noticeably until the second half of the play and ramined in the range of 16 to 18 percent.
