SEOUL, Nov. 10 (Yonhap) -- Singer and musical actor Kim Jun-su has set up his own agency, PALMTREE ISLAND. to begin individual activities.
Kim has formed the agency with his longtime manager and named it after a plant he likes, the new agency said Wednesday.
Earlier, his former agency C-Jes Entertainment since 2009 announced expiration of their management contract with Kim.
Kim, also known as former member Xia Jun-su of idol group TVXQ! debuted in the musical scene with “Mozart!” in 2010 and has been playing lead roles for large works such as “Elisabeth,” “Dracula,” “Death Note” and “Excalibur.”
“Kim will run his own agency depicting his own identity and keep up with his career. We ask for warm welcome and cheers for the artist opening a new chapter,” said PALMTREEE ISLAND.
