SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- The 10th Muju Film Festival, where one will be able to enjoy "Romance of Early Summer," will be opening today on the afternoon.

The opening ceremony of the film festival begins with the "Green Carpet" held at 6:30 p.m. on the same day at the Muju Deungnamu Stadium.

20 to 30 people will be on the green carpet, including actors like Park Cheol-min, Kim Hyena, Shin So-yul, who served as an ambassador for the 1st Film Festival, and actress Jeon Yeo-bin, who was chosen as the "NEXT ACTOR" of the film festival.

Afterwards, a congratulatory performance will be held by Jazz vocalist Malo, and guitarist Park Joo-won.

After the opening greetings of the festival's executive director and the introduction of the judges, director Kim Tae-yong's film "Crossroads of Youth" will be screened as the opening film.

This work has been remade in an original way by combining one of the oldest Korean film, the Crossroads of Youth, with a musical.

One will be able to have a special experience of revisiting the legacy of the past created over 80 years ago, with a modern sensibility.

Along with the opening film, 110 films from 31 countries will be screened at this year's film festival.

It will be divided into a "panel section," where it introduces various new works from around the world, a "window section," featuring domestic masterpieces, a "rock section," where one can enjoy outdoor screenings, and a "forest section" for late night movies.

Along with the "Encore Series," where it screens the past opening films, the "Before Series" where it screens movies including "Before Sunrise," "Before Sunset" and "Before Midnight" awaits the audience.

The 10th Muju Film Festival will be held in Muju county for five days from today till the 6th.
