SEOUL, April 28 (Yonhap) -- Entertainment programs tend to reflect social changes, and recently, shows featuring divorced singles are on-trend.

According to Smart Media Representative (SMR), which distributes VOD (video on demand) clips of major broadcasters to online platforms, TV Chosun’s “Love Again S2” (also known as "We Got Divorced"), recorded 9.87 cumulative views online.

The show became an internet sensation just 3 weeks after its first episode of season 2 on Apr. 8 and outpaced other divorced singles-related programs in views.

“Love Again S2” recorded an average of 3.29 million views for clips per episode, while MBN’s “Divorced Singles S2” recorded 1.87 million views, SBS’s “Dolsing Four Men” recorded 1.15 million views, and MBN’s “Divorced Singles: Birth Of A Family” (spinoff) recorded 780,000 views.

“Love Again 2” is a reality show that depicts divorced couples brought back together to live under one roof.

In this season, a clip went viral when U-Kiss former member Eli and former racing model Ji Yeon-soo was seen pouring out their feelings in a fight.

Eli and Ji had their son Min-su after getting married in 2014. The two separated last year.

The fight of the ex-couple was relatable since it honestly depicted the conflict that led to their divorce. The most-watched clip of ‘Love Again 2,’ other than the trailer, was the one that showed the different views of Eli and Ji, surpassing 500,000 views.

However, the two were seen continuously fighting at a high level of emotional intensity, and some viewers expressed that it was uncomfortable to watch.

“Divorced Singles S2,” which depicts 8 divorced singles going on dates to find someone new, is still relatable after the first season to single moms and dads who raise children alone.

The show honestly depicted the difficulties the cast members face after their divorce and received the viewers' support when the members found a new love.

The spinoff program, “Divorced Singles: Birth Of A Family” is also receiving great attention for portraying the process of a divorced couple becoming a family.

“Dolsing Four Men,” is a more light-hearted program that shows the daily life of friendly divorced men. The program shows the four men’s divorced and single life filled with self-deprecating jokes and humorous banter.

One of the show’s members, comedian Kim Jun-ho recently gained a lot of attention for admitting a romantic relationship with fellow comedian Kim Ji-min.
