SEOUL, May 20 (Yonhap) -- Kakao Entertainment is looking for contestants to appear in a dating reality show “Love Alarm.”
“Love Alarm” is a reality dating program that uses an application created by the staff which alerts people if someone within a 10-meter radius, likes them.
The program centers around the love alarm app, which is the main element of the original webtoon by writer Chon Kye-young. The show is also planned and produced based on the dating reality show “Jjak.”
People who want to apply can send their application to KakaoTV’s email on its social media accounts, until May 31st.
The staff will choose the contestants through an interview, begin filming in next month and release the show through KakaoTV in late 2022.
Kakao Entertainment’s Kim Min-jong of “Real Man” and “Wannabe Ryan” will direct the upcoming dating show.
Kim said, “The show will implement the love alarm app in the webtoon and also expand the original work by containing a variety of layouts and unique features for viewers to participate in."
