SEOUL, April 16 (Yonhap) -- K-pop rookie boy group ENHYPEN, considered to be the representative of the fourth generation idol group, is making a comeback with a new album.

ENHYPEN's agency, Belift Lab announced on the 16th that they will release their second mini-album "BORDER: CARNIVAL" on the 26th.

The pre-orders for their album surpassed 400,000 orders last week, five days after the pre-sale began, which is unusual for a new idol group.

Belift Lab mentioned, "It took 20 days for ENHYPEN's debut album 'Border: Day One' to reach 300,000 pre-orders, so we're seeing a rapid growth in popularity for the boy band."

The new album, which contains a total of six songs, portrays the impression of a strange yet fancy world ENHYPEN has experienced after their debut.

The title track, "Drunk-Dazed" is a pop rock song that clearly reflects the theme of the album, which is experiencing a world where rules and social structures have fallen apart, therefore comparing a carnival to this theme.

Producer Wonderkid and HYBE's chairman Bang Si-hyuk have composed the song to portray the mood of being in a state of drunkenness and dazed.

In addition, several other songs such as "Fever", which features a modern pop R&B rhythm, "Not For Sale", which portrays the perspective of teenagers these days, and "Mixed Up", a song with a combination of synthesizers and electronic guitars, were included in the album.

ENHYPEN is a seven-member idol boy group formed on Mnet's "I-LAND", a survival reality show organized by Belift Lab, last year.

ENHYPEN's debut album was also popular, surpassing 280,000 copies in the first week since the release, and recent count of the combined number of followers on TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and V LIVE surpassed 14.4 million.
