◇ Suga, Jin and RM of BTS tests positive for COVID-19
BTS' vocalist Jin and rapper RM have tested positive for the coronavirus, their management agency said Saturday.
The announcement came a day after the agency, Big Hit Music, confirmed that Suga, another member of the seven-member K-pop superband, has been infected with the virus.
"RM and Jin were confirmed virus-positive this evening," the agency said, adding that RM is not showing any symptoms in particular but Jin has a slight fever.
They are undergoing treatment at home in compliance with the instructions from health authorities, the agency said.
The members returned home Friday after visiting Los Angeles from Nov. 27-28 and early this month on a concert schedule.
Both RM and Jin had tested negative in earlier diagnostic tests, the agency added.
Suga was confirmed to have the virus in a polymerase chain reaction test after arriving in Seoul from the United States on Thursday.

◇ 'Snowdrop' under fire for distorting modern S. Korean history…JTBC aired key episodes in advance
JTBC romance series "Snowdrop" has sparked criticism that it distorted the history of South Korea's pro-democracy movement of the late 1980s.
Fierce criticism arose after the first two episodes depicted Young-ro (a female South Korean university student) giving shelter to Su-ho (a North Korean spy) who jumps into her dormitory covered in blood as she mistakenly believes that he is a pro-democracy protester chased by heavy-handed state secret service agents under the military dictatorship.
A petition was posted on an online bulletin of the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae calling for the termination of the TV production. More than 300,000 people have signed it as of Tuesday morning.
JTBC decided that it would release key episodes of the show this week, earlier than its original schedule, in an attempt to straighten out misunderstanding about historical issues depicted in the show.

The blockbuster garnered 4,170,000 audiences nationwide as of 7 a.m. on Saturday, according to Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Its pace outmatched that of the biggest pandemic-era hit, "Deliver Us From Evil," which needed 11 days to achieve 3 million viewers.
"Spider-Man" also became the most-watched foreign flick in South Korea in 2021, beating the previous No. 1 "Eternals" with 3 million in total attendance.
