SEOUL, June 7 (Yonhap) -- Lotte Entertainment announced on Tuesday that three upcoming films are scheduled to hit the theaters later this year, including “Hansan: Rise of the Dragon.”
“Hansan: Rise of the Dragon,” the second movie of director Kim Han-min’s Yi Sun-sin trilogy and the follow-up of S. Korea’s box office success “The Admiral: Roaring Currents” (2014), will unfold the historical battle of general Yi.
Actor Park Hae-il will play commander Yi along with Byun Yo-han and Ahn Sung-ki who will join the cast.
The second film “Life is Beautiful,” starring Yum Jung-ah and Ryu Seung-ryong, depicts a wife who asks her husband to help her find her first love, as her last birthday present. The movie is raising expectations as it is the first jukebox musical film in S. Korea.
The film “Confession” starring So Ji-sub and Kim Yun-jin tells the story of a promising entrepreneur (So) who is found by the police locked in a room with a murdered body and a top-level defense attorney (Kim) who wants to prove him innocent. The movie will hit the cinemas later this year.
