SEOUL, Oct. 10 (Yonhap) — The Korean Intellectual Property Office announced on Monday that it will crack down on counterfeit items related to fan items and conduct guiding activities around the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on Oct. 15, when the BTS concert will be held.

A promotional booth, in cooperation with the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency, will be set to spread the culture of respecting intellectual property for the visitors who come to the concert followed by promotional activities.

The Korean Intellectual Property Office, in collaboration with the Korea Music Contents Association and entertainment agencies such as HYBE, SM, JYP, and YG, will inspect fan related counterfeit products at major online stores, and based on the information collected during the examination process, a planned investigation will also take place.

Kim Young-bae, head of the Trademark Judicial Police Department at the Intellectual Property Office, said, "We plan to continue monitoring infringements of trademark rights in cooperation with major entertainment agencies and the Korea Music Contents Association."
