S. Korean actor Song Kang-ho donates 200 billion won to Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association

SEOUL, July 22 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actor Song Kang-ho’s secret act of kindness of donating great amount of money to elders who are in need of help has been reviled.

According to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association on Friday, actor Song Kang-ho donated 100 million won on March of 2022 in hope to help with the forest fire, and 200 billion won during the beginning of COVID-19.

Song Kang-ho is a member of honors club, which consists of people who have donated over 100 billion won.

The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association carefully mentioned that “Although actor Song Kang-ho didn’t want his act of kindness to be publicly known, he finally opened up to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association after numerous requests to participate in the expansion of the sharing culture, Song Kang-ho finally joined the Honors Club.”

Actor Song Kang-ho’s agency Sublime Artist announced that “Often times, Song Kang-ho tried to come up with the best way to repay the love and care his fans have given to him.” adding “Helping out those who are in need so that they can return back to their daily lives, is considered one of the ways to repay the love and care. Therefore Song Kang-ho will participate in the expansion of sharing culture.”
