SEOUL, Jan 4 (Yonhap) -- Actress Jeon Do-yeon will transform into a legendary killer in the new Netflix movie.
Netflix confirmed the production of director Byun Sung-hyun’s new movie “Kill Bok-soon” with the cast of Jeon Do-yeon, Seol Kyung-gu, Esom, and Koo Kyo-hwan on Tuesday.
The upcoming action film portrays a story of a legendary assassin Gil Bok-soon who faces an inevitable showdown before the contract renewal with her company.
Jeon plays Gil, the main character who lives a double life as an infamous assassin with a 100% success rate and a single mom who faces challenges with her 15-year-old daughter’s education.
Seol, who became director Byun’s persona with “The Merciless” (2017) and “King Maker” (2021), plays Cha Min-kyu, the boss of the killer organization M.K, and a teacher who recognized Gil’s talents and raised her as a skilled assassin.
This is the third collaboration between Jeon and Seol after “I Wish I Had a Wife” (2001) and “Birthday” (2019).
Esom will play Cha’s sister Cha Min-hee, the director of M.K, and Koo Kyo-hwan will be Han Hee-seong, a skillful assassin who is not recognized by Cha Min-kyu.
