BTS Jin to sing main theme for upcoming special tvN series 'Mount Jiri'

SEOUL, Oct. 1 (Yonhap) -- Jin of BTS will sing the main theme song of tvN “Mount Jiri,” the production most being forward to for the second half of this year, an official from the series said Friday.

The upcoming special production for tvN 15th anniversary has gathered attention as Kim Eun-hee, screenwriter of “Kingdom” and Lee Eung-bok, producer of “Guardian: The Lovely and Great God” and “Sweet Home” have taken part and for starring veteran actress and actor, Jun Ji-hyun and Ju Ji-hoon.

BTS has recently performed and made a speech for the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly as a “special presidential envoy.” Jin will sing the main theme song for the special series with his unique vocal. The song will be featured from the series’ midway.

“Specific details for the song’s release will later be uploaded,” said AStory and MOST CONTENTS, producer of dramaOST(Original Soundtrack).

“Mount Jiri” is a mystery genre picturing the stories of Jirisan National Park’s best ranger Seo Yi-kang and new ranger Kang Hyun-jo digging a mysterious accident.

The first episode will be aired at 9 p.m. of the 23rd.
