SEOUL, Feb. 27 (Yonhap) -- Various exhibitions related to tigers are being held to mark the Year of the Tiger in the Korean traditional Calendar. “Amulet_Exhibition Ho Ryeong_Waking Up the Tiger” is an exhibition that features the works of 38 artists at home and abroad under the theme of tigers.
The artists of many genres have participated, including Korean painter Park Dae-seong, media artist Lee Lee-nam, charcoal artist Lee Jae-sam, and live drawing artist Kim Jung-ki, as well as Kang Hyung-gu, Kim Sun-doo, Jang Seung-hyo, Huh Hoe-tae, and Woo Kook-won. Koo Jun-yup and Kim Gyu-ri, who are the celebrities that have become artists, will also join the exhibition.
This exhibition will be held in Seoul, Hanam, and Busan. The original paintings will be displayed at Gallery Won in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from Feb. 22 to Mar. 9. During the same period, digital works based on the original paintings can be found at Central Atrium in Starfield Hanam. Non-fungible token(NFT) works will also be exhibited.
After that, the original paintings and digital works will be exhibited at Shinsegae Centum City in Busan from Mar. 11 to Mar. 31.
Under the joint auspices of LAY Village and Grimgreen, the exhibition is introduced as an art project that conveys a message of hope to the public and supports the South Korea national football team with the Korea Football Love Sharing Foundation.
