SEOUL, Dec. 29 (Yonhap) -- Singer B.I. will appear in the GRAMMYs Global Spin, airing on Jan. 4 (U.S. Time), according to his agency IOK Wednesday.
GRAMMYs Global Spin is a performance series produced by GRAMMY, one of the big three networks’ major music awards, to promote various music and artists.
The series started in September and is airing weekly on the Recording Academy’s official YouTube channel, Facebook, and Instagram.
A total of five artists have participated in the series so far, performing 4-6 minute long videos.
Singer B.I. accepted the Grammy’s proposal and has completed the filming in the series.
The video will be released on Jan. 4 at 10 a.m. (PST) and 1 p.m. (EST). In South Korea, the performance will be available on Jan. 5 at 3 a.m. (KST).
“It is very meaningful for B.I. to participate in the global series as the first Asian and K-pop artist,” explained the agency.
Singer B.I. dropped a new album in October and participated in different activities after being convicted of illegal drug use.
Earlier, B.I. was sentenced to 3 years of prison and 4 years of suspension for purchasing cannabis and LSD, a form of drug, and administering them.
