SEOUL, Feb. 24 (Yonhap) -- OTT giant Netflix announced on Monday that director Yeon Sang-ho’s latest film, Revelations, will be released on March 21.
The film follows a pastor who believes that punishing the perpetrator of a missing person case is a divine revelation and a detective haunted by visions of her deceased sister, who was involved in a tragic incident. As they each pursue their own beliefs, their paths intertwine in a gripping narrative.
Actors Ryu Jun-yeol and Shin Hyun-bin take on the lead roles, portraying Pastor Min-chan and Detective Yeon-hee, respectively. Shin Min-jae plays Yang-rae, an ex-convict suspected of being the perpetrator.
Acclaimed Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, known for Gravity (2013) and Roma (2018), serves as the film’s executive producer.
The screenplay is co-written by Yeon Sang-ho and webtoon artist Choi Gyu-seok, based on their 2022 webtoon of the same name. The duo previously collaborated on the Netflix series Hellbound.
