SEOUL, July 20 (Yonhap) -- BTS topped Oricon's weekly album rankings in Japan with its single CD including English songs "Butter" and "Permission to Dance," which scored a back-to-back debut atop the Billboard main singles chart.
The seven-piece-act's single CD "Butter," which features "Butter" and "Permission to Dance," sold a total of 195,000 copies from July 12-18, ranking first in Japan's key weekly album music chart, according to the latest chart released by Oricon on Tuesday.
This is the ninth time for the septet to top the Oricon weekly album chart. In particular BTS' latest fives songs have all consecutively sat atop the chart.
BTS now has the largest number of No. 1 albums for an overseas artists within Oricon history.
"BTS, The Best," the seven-piece band's Japanese album, which was released last month, has a tie record with TVXQ, however BTS took the lead as the single CD reached the top of the chart.
