SEOUL, May 26 (Yonhap) -- A new Netflix series revolving around the lives of the top celebrities on social media will be created.
Netflix confirmed the production of “Celebrity” and announced the cast of Park Gyu-young, Kang Min-hyuk, Lee Chung-ah, Lee Dong-gun, and Jun Hyo-seong on Thursday.
"Celebrity" depicts a woman who sees the real faces of celebrities after she enters the world where fame brings money.
Park stars as Seo Ah-ri whose life turns upside down after entering the world of celebrities and Kang will play Han Joon-kyung, the CEO of a cosmetics company who is attracted to Seo’s unpredictability.
Lee Chung-ah will play Yoon Shi-hyeon, the daughter of a wealthy family who never had to worry about social media, while Lee Dong-gun will play her husband Jin Tae-jun, who uses any method for his goal.
Jun will star as Seo’s childhood friend Oh Min-hye, who leads Seo to the world of celebrities.
Director Kim Cheol-gyu behind dramas “Flower of Evil” and “Mother,” will produce the upcoming Netflix show.
