SEOUL, April 29 (Yonhap) -- Son Na-eun from girl group Apink, who recently marked their 10th debut anniversary, will not be renewing hercontract with PlayM Entertainment but instead is considering joining YG Entertainment.
Earlier today, YG Entertainment stated to Yonhap, "We are discussing Son Na-eun's contract with YG in a positive manner."
On the other hand, PlayM Entertainment explained, "We recently renewed our contracts with Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jung Eun-ji, Kim Nam-joo and Oh Ha-young. We will provide full support to help them engage in public appearances and activities."
"After in-depth discussions with the members and the company, member Son Na-eun agreed not to renew the contract to move toward a new dream," Apink's agency added. "We respect Son Na-eun's choice and sincerely support her on the way forward."
However, all six Apink members will continue to work as a team.
"Unfortunately, Son Na-eun is not with us, but all six of us have the same affection for the team, so we want to continue a positive and cooperative relationship in this regard," PlayM Entertainment said.
To mark the 10th anniversary of their debut, Apink recently released a special digital single, "Thank you," and is also preparing a full album.
