Over 15,000 fans flock to Guangzhou as NCT Dream makes surprise popup visit

SEOUL, Aug. 28 (Yonhap) -- More than 15,000 fans gathered in Guangzhou, China, as K-pop boy group NCT Dream made a surprise appearance at a popup event, its agency SM Entertainment said Thursday.

The group visited YueCity on Tuesday, drawing crowds that filled the shopping mall up to the fifth floor. Fans greeted the members with loud cheers.

“We have received great strength from the support and love you’ve shown for our fifth full-length album ‘Go Back To The Future,’” the members said. “We sincerely thank everyone for coming here today.”

The popup, organized in collaboration with China’s largest music platform QQ Music, runs from Aug. 25-31 to celebrate the release of “Go Back To The Future.” The venue features photo zones reflecting the album’s concept and a guestbook space where fans can leave messages for the group.

NCT Dream will continue its world tour “The Dream Show 4: Dream The Future” with a concert at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on Saturday.
