SEOUL, Mar. 30 (Yonhap) -- A new theme park, 'Lotte World Adventure Busan' is opening after it has been almost ten years since Me World, an amusement park based in Gwangali, Busan closed in 2013.

We will summarize three attractions of this park ahead of the official opening on the 31st.

To begin with, two new awaited amusement park rides are being introduced for the first time in South Korea. The Giant Digger, a rollercoaster with a maximum speed of 105km/h with three 360-degree rotation parts, provides an exhilarating sense of speed. Another ride, 'Giant Splash' is a water coaster that descends at a speed of 100km/h from a height of 44.6m towards a canal containing about 2,000 tons of water.

There are many amusement park rides made specifically for children as well. In 'Joyful Meadow', one of the six theme parks that Queen Lorry rules according to their fairy-tale concept, there are six rides for families to ride together.

Followed by 'Magic Castle', a landmark acknowledged as one of the most famous landmark among outdoor theme parks, 'Lorry Castle' will be built. Lorry Castle is built to envision a floating castle on top of the water. In Lorry's dressing room, borrowing various clothes including school uniforms will be available, and so is especially confident that it will go viral as one of the best places to take a picture.

Busan, South Korea's second largest city does not have much of a relationship with amusement parks. With 17 attractions in total, the theme park is still far behind Jamsil Lotte World (51 types), Everland (38 types) and Gyeongju World (29 types) in terms of number and types of attraction. Yet, as it has been long since South Korea established a theme park this big, the opening for the theme park is extremely anticipated.

In order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19, Lotte World Adventure Busan plans to operate 100% through an advanced reservation system until the 10th of next month, limiting to 6,000 visitors a day.
