Mamamoo's 'HIP' exceeds 300 mln YouTube views

SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group Mamamoo saw the music video for its 2019 hit "HIP" break 300 million views on YouTube, its management agency said.

"HIP," the main track for the four-piece act's second full-length album "Reality in Black," hit 300 million views at around 2 p.m., the previous day, according to RBW on Saturday.

"This is the best record among Mamamoo's other music videos," RBW explained. "The music video for 'HIP' has steadily increased the cumulative number of views since its release, proving its unwavering popularity."

'HIP' is a song that combines rhythmic brass and string sound, while featuring a highly addictive melody. It contains a positive message that of how someone can truly become "hip" when they fully love and care themselves without being worrying what others think.
