SEOUL, Feb. 11(Yonhap) – The movie “Spider’s House(translated)” starring Song Kang-ho has confirmed the cast, including Im Soo-jung and Oh Jung-se, and will start filming from next month, according to the investor Barunson on Friday.
Director Shin Yeon-shick was planning to direct “Spider’s House,” written by Shin, but director Kim Jee-woon has decided to newly adapt and direct the movie.
“Spider’s House,” which is set in the 1970s, depicts the story of director Kim, who is being obsessed with re-filming the ending of the movie ‘Spider’s House,” which is done with shooting, under unfavorable conditions, such as censorship of authorities, opposition from producers, and actors who do not understand the changed scripts.
Song Kang-ho will play director Kim, who is obsessed with his desire to make a masterpiece. This is the fifth time that Song and director Kim Jee-woon have reunited, following the movies "The Quiet Family," "The Foul King," "The Good, the Bad, the Weird,” and "The Age of Shadows.”
Im Soo-jung, who worked with director Kim Jee-woon in "A Tale of Two Sisters,” plays Lee Min-ja, the professional actress who is married to the male lead, in “Spider’s House.”
Oh Jung-se plays Kang Ho-se, the male lead of the movie, while Jeon Yeo-been plays Shin Mi-do, who has studied in Japan and is in charge of finance for the production company, and Jung Soo-jung plays Han Yu-rim, a rookie actress who is drawing great attention.
"Spider's House" is produced by Anthology Studios, a new production company where director Kim Jee-woon and Song Kang-ho newly joined, and director Shin's Luz Y Sonidos will participate in the co-production.
