SEOUL, Feb. 23 (Yonhap) -- South Korean boy band SHINee’s Key has topped Circle’s digital download chart for this week with his newest album “Killer,” according to the artist’s agency SM Entertainment Thursday.

“Killer” is an uptempo dance genre track with an outstanding retro sound based on New Wave music and its subgenre synth-pop from the 1980s. It sings about the remorse and grief of not being able to move on from his former lover after brutally breaking up with her.

The album also touched down in first place on the iTunes charts in 21 regions and the Worldwide iTunes Albums Chart, as well as the RecoChoku daily album ranking in Japan.
