SEOUL, April 14 (Yonhap) -- Susanje Historical Park located in Miryang, South Gyeongsang province has been renovated.
On the 14th, Miryang city held the unveiling ceremony of the symbolic sculpture and celebrated the opening of the public relations hall in Hanam-eup Susan-ri Susanje Historical Park.
Susanje, which is now gone, is one of the oldest reservoirs in Korea along with Byeokgolje of Gimje and Urimji of Jecheon that was created during the Proto-Three Kingdoms of Korea era.
In order to commemorate the historical significance of Susanje that was once the most representative irrigation system in Korea, Miryang city has began making a historical park in 2017 and has now added sculptures and a public relations hall.
The dolmen-shaped symbolic sculpture with a width of 9m and a height of 7m is made of granite.
There will also be a place to virtually experience the water gate of Susanje.
