SEOUL, Dec. 14 (Yonhap) -- Actor Gong Myung started his mandatory military service Tuesday.
Gong entered a military training camp, whose location or time of enlistment was not disclosed to the public, and there was no separate event for fans due to safety reasons amid the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the actor's agency Saram Entertainment.
The 27-year-old actor bid farewell to his fans by uploading a series of photos with his short haircut on the agency's official Instagram account and said, "I will return safely and in good health," adding, "I want to thank all my fans who have loved me and my works. "
In SBS' historical romance drama "Red Sky," which ended in October, Gong played the role of Yang Myeong, and also appeared as the youngest cast member in tvN's "House on Wheels 3." Gong has also finished filming for several upcoming films, including "Hansan" and "Killing Romance."
