SEOUL, June 9 (Yonhap) -- Singer Kim Ho-joong from the trot competition show "Mr. Trot," has been discharged from his mandatory military service as a public service worker on Thursday.
Kim carried out his last remaining duties at the Seocho City Office on the same day and said, "While carrying out my duties, I thought I should work a little bit harder. I want to thank my fans who waited for me."
Kim shared his resolution, "I'm glad I served my duties since I learned a lot," adding, "As much as I prepared a great deal, I will show you a good side during my activities."
On this day, the area around the Seocho City Office was crowded with fans and reporters who flocked in the early morning.
As little raindrops began to fall, around 50 fans cried out when Kim appeared at 10:15 a.m. and cheered him by saying, "Great job," and "Go, Kim Ho-joong!"
