SEOUL, July 26 (Yonhap) --Seosan Parkcheomji Nori Village, Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 26 of North Chungcheong province, has been newly transformed into a landscape improvement project.

According to Seosan City on Tuesday, the public design improvement project of Parkcheomji Nori Village, Topgok 4-ri, Eumam-myeon, which was selected in last year's competition in South Chungcheong Province, was recently completed.

The city spent a total of 500 million won, including 250 million won in the provincial bill, to repair the exterior facilities of the Parkcheomji Nori Training Center, the scenery around the village hall, and the foil fence around the access road, and many more.

Through this, the city has created a distinctive cultural village that reflects its historical and cultural identity.

"I think many visitors will come to the Parkcheomji Nori Puppet Show in the future due to the improvement of the village landscape," a resident said.

Seosan Parkcheomji Nori is the only folk puppet show in the country handed down by villagers. In January 2000, it was designated as an intangible cultural property of South Chungcheong Province.
