SEOUL, August 12 (Yonhap) -- Singer and Actress IU donated 100 million won to residents who were affected by the localized heavy rain, Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced on Friday.

Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association secretary general Kim Jeong-hee said “I sincerely thank those including IU who have helped and donated for residents who are in despair.”

IU has been donating for neighbors in need with the name “IUAENA,” combination of “IU” and her fan club name “UAENA.”

The singer has donated 2.1 billion won to Children, adolescents and single-parent families in last May for her birthday.
