SEOUL October 08 (Yonhap) -- “When K-pop superstar BTS contacted me to ask about remix of my track “Make it Right” I was shocked so I pinched myself to check whether I was dreaming or not.” addressed American electropop singer songwriter Lauv during the interview with Yonhap News Agency conducted through mail on Saturday.
Artist will be participating at the “Slow Life Slove Live 2022” festival happening from October 8 to 10 as a headliner of the concert happening on October 10.
“I am finally reuniting with South Korean fans, I am very excited.” adding “I can’t wait to walk around South Korea and enjoy the vibe.” Lauv who has not been to South Korea since Seoul Jazz Festival held in 2019 showed his excitement throughout the statement.
Lauv who is born in 1994 debuted with his mini album “Lost in the Light” in 2015 and started off his music career. Throughout the time, artist has rose to fame through his world wide hits “I’m So Tired,” “Lonely,” “Feelings,” and more.
Track “I like Me Better,” released in 2018 recorded over 140 million streams from world’s biggest music streaming platform Spotify showcasing his success.
Lauv’s track “I like me Better” depicts a guy who has fallen in love with the city of New York, and it is a great song to find out how smooth he is with his story telling and his charms.
When asked how he sketches his story telling which fits perfectly into three to four minutes of his songs, artist replied by stating “I try to focus on myself, and try to stack up verses after verses and that is how I come up with my tracks.”
Singer Lauv has made for himself in South Korea through his collaborative tracks with Superstar BTS, “Make it Like” and “Who.”
Along with BTS, Lauv has collaborated with Anne Marie who is known for her track “2002” and famous Canadian R&B artist Alessia Cara and numbers of famous artists throughout his first full length album “~How I’m Feeling~.”
However, for his second full length album “All 4 Nothing” Lauv decided to fill up the entire album without getting help from the other artist.
Lauv addressed that the second full length album “All for Nothing” is an album where he tried his best to show who he truly is.
Track “Hey Ari” which depicts younger version of Lauv who was having hard time with anxiety, artist Lauv’s real name is Ari therefore it provides additional value to the song “Hey Ari.”
“If I have to pick a song that I like the most out of my second album I would pick ‘Hey Ari.’” adding “That is because it features very personal story of mine.” addressed artist Lauv throughout the statement.
Lauv who is capable of using his past memory as a subject of his music described his current status to be very mind and settled.
“A lot has happened, and I have finally found my inner peace,” adding “I would like to send my love and thanks to all the South Korean fans who enjoy and like my songs.” addressed Lauv.
