Comedian Park Na-rae eventually withdraws from starring in the show, "Hey Na-rae"

SEOUL, March 25th (Yonhap) -- Comedian Park Na-rae recently apologized and left the web entertainment program, "Hey Narae" for causing controversy over her sexual harassment remarks during the show. However, the production team of "Hey Narae" announced that the show would be canceled.  

Park Na-rae and her agency, JDB Entertainment released a statement, saying, "After we received the details regarding the show, the character Na-rae was to portray, and the props from the production crew, we should have been more careful with how Na-rae would respond and act and we deeply regret making this mistake.

"We are aware of the problem and discomfort caused to the viewers who have watched the video and we once again sincerely apologize for the problem we have caused," they added.

The agency also mentioned that "We have come to the conclusion that Park Na-rae will be leaving the show and we will take this oppportunity to think more about the lessons learned from this incident."

"Hey Narae", starring Park Na-rae and YouTuber Hey Jini, is a reality entertainment program made by CJ ENM's digital entertainment channel, Studio Waffle.

The video that ultimately became the problem was the second episode of "Hey Narae" released on March 23rd. During the show, Park Na-rae was seen pulling on certain parts of a doll's body and giving sexual descriptions, sparking controversy over sexual harassment.

The video is currently not disclosed to the public and the production team of the show has apologized as well.
