SEOUL November 11 (Yonhap) -- SM Entertainment published their business report regarding the subject matter of sustainable business and their plans to meet the expectations within fields of environment, economy, public values, and more.
SM Entertainment released a statement on Friday regarding their release of “2021 SM Entertainment’s Commitment for the Sustainable Future” which incorporates agency’s future plans and their current status.
Throughout the report SM Entertainment addressed “Our goal for the sustainable management is to use culture technology to showcase continuous flow of the best cultural content,” and they listed 9 of the segments where they will focus on within the boundaries of environment, society and customer value.
Within the environmental segment, waste reduction, decreased green house gas, development of nature friendly management system by 2025 and preservation of ecosystems were included as areas to focus.
Continuing on, within the societal segment, SM Entertainment will work towards enhancing the working environment so the members of the companies will be provided with better work environment, and to help out with societal issues.
Also, in order to reach the certain level regarding the customer satisfaction, SM Entertainment will work hard to support the creation and development of P2C “Player to Create” ecosystem and creation of contents using SM’s intellectual property.
Co CEO of the SM Entertainment Lee Sung-soo addressed “For the past 27 years, SM Entertainment worked very hard to take a step further into creating better society using music and culture,” adding “By publishing the first ‘2021 SM Entertainment’s Commitment for the Sustainable Future’ SM Entertainment will do its best to become a better company that improves the sustainability of the social community and the global environment.”
