SEOUL, July 12 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Byung-hun donated 100 million won in celebration of his birthday to the Asan Medical Center Children's Hospital in aid to children and adolescents.
The donation will be used to ease the difficulties experienced by patients and their families during the treatment process and provide financial aid to patients who need treatment.
"I understand that the treatment process for serious diseases is very difficult and it is hard to determine whether the patient has improved in a short period of time. I wanted to comfort and help patients and their families who have to fight the disease for a long time," Lee Byung-hun said,
At the end of last year, Lee Byung-hun also donated 100 million won for children from low-income families suffering from COVID-19.
Lee Byung-hun will be attending the 74th Cannes Film Festival for the film "Emergency Declaration," which was listed in the Out of Competition category.
