‘The Penthouse 2’ is 2021 most-streamed K-drama in clips

SEOUL, Dec. 24 (Yonhap) -- SBS' “The Penthouse 2” was found to be the most-streamed Korean drama in clips during 2021.


The series ranked first with a record of 187 million cumulative views according to SMR, which distributes on-demand videos of major broadcasters to online platforms including NAVER and YouTube. tvN’s “Mr. Queen” ranked second with 160 million cumulative views while “Vincenzo,” was placed third with 105 million views.

Korea's cable channel, tvN, made the biggest hits of this year’s top 10 with five dramas including, “Mr. Queen” (2nd), “Vincenzo” (3rd), “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” (5th), “True Beauty” (7th), and “Hospital Playlist 2” (9th).
 

Three of SBS' dramas, including seasons two and three of "The Penthouse" as well as "One the Woman" made it into the top 10. Meanwhile, KBS' two dramas "Revolutionary Sisters" and "Miss Monte-Cristo" also entered the list.


JTBC, which aired the 2019 hit series "The World of the Married" and "Itaewon Class" failed to enter its dramas on this year's top 10 list.
