SEOUL, Mar. 30 (Yonhap) -- Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery, based in Europe, announced on Wednesday that it will hold a charity exhibition to raise funds for Ukraine, which has been invaded by Russia.
The exhibition, which is participated by Thaddaeus Ropac and his artists, will be held simultaneously in 5 galleries in 4 cities, including London, Paris, Salzburg, and Seoul.
It introduces the works, such as paintings and sculptures donated by gallery artists, at each branch. The works can also be found through online exhibitions.
The profits will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee(DEC), Doctors Without Borders, and the Austrian Red Cross.
Thaddaeus Ropac, founded in 1983, consists of various global artists, such as Anthony Gormley, Anselm Kiefer, Georg Baselitz, and Elizabeth Peyton.
Thaddaeus Ropac Seoul exhibited "Untitled" by British artist Jason Martin, who is currently holding his first exhibition in Korea. This work was purchased by Lee Chung-hee, the vice president of the Korea Basketball Association, and actress Choi Ran couple.
The staff from Thaddaeus Ropac said, "Art lovers Lee Chung-hee and Choi Ran bought the work after hearing the good intention of the exhibition," adding, "The price of the work is about 100 million won."
