SEOUL, Dec. 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korean comedian Yoo Jae-suk has tested positive for the new coronavirus, according to his management agency Antenna Music on Monday.
Yoo was classified as a close contact of a confirmed case on Dec. 11, however the comedian's polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test results at the time came back negative.
In accordance to guidelines from the health authorities, Yoo conducted a second PCR test this morning, and was notified to have tested positive.
Yoo was fully vaccinated at the end of September.
"Yoo Jae-suk has canceled all schedules and is taking necessary measures in accordance to guidelines from the health authorities," Antenna said.
Previously, singer-songwriter Yoo Hee-yeol, who is the founder of record label and Yoo Jae-suk's agency Antenna Music, was tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
