SEOUL , August 30 (Yonhap) -- At an event held by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, Lee Soo-man, the executive producer of SM Entertainment, highlighted the collaboration between Korean culture and the construction industry.
According to SM Entertainment, Lee Soo-man gave a supporting speech about "The Future of K-Infrastructure" during the Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference, which was held at the Silla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul, on Tuesday.
The event, which began in 2013 and is the 10th this year, invited high-level officials from major overseas government agencies to hold effective interviews, one-on-one business meetings, and provide information on ordering new projects.
Lee Soo-man said, "The future of construction will be a tool to show and express human creativity, and the future city is supposed to be the best creation of human beings," and added, "I am looking forward to the fusion of the soft-powered K culture and construction.
He is predicting that the era will come when the virtual world and the real world interact with each other as content created by the fusion of various cultures beyond physical limitations in the virtual space is reflected in the real space.
Moreover, by using Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Great Manmade River Project,GMR, and the Canakkale Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Turkey, as an example, he said, "Korea's overseas construction companies have been contributing to creating landmarks in the world."
Lee Soo-man said, "The era of K-construction, which presents the Hallyu of construction by converging culture and construction, will come."
Lee Soo-man recently met with government officials from Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Mongolia and gave advice regarding improving the cultural industry in each nation. On August 19, he met an official from the Saudi Arabia investment department and made a business agreement to develop Saudi pop.
