SEOUL, June 10 (Yonhap) -- Actors Yoo Ji-tae, Kwak Do-won, Lee Bum-soo, and Rhee Min-Jung will come together to join a crime drama about counterfeit bills.

S. Korea’s streaming platform Tving announced that the leading roles of “Villains,” an original series coming next year, have been chosen, on Friday.

"Villains" is a crime drama about a bloody clash and confrontation between villains over ultra-precise counterfeit notes.

Yoo plays the role of J, a mysterious crime planner with a genius brain. J, who has a 100% crime-winning rate, is a sociopath who enjoys and calls the crime he completes a piece of work.

Kwak will play a cold-blooded detective Jang Joong-hyuk, who steals money from thieves. Jang, a corrupt detective who intervenes in various interests, considers "bad deeds" to be money and promotion.

Lee plays Cha Ki-tae, former head of the NIS’s financial crime team. Cha continues to track the figures involved in the project by J, who twisted his life 5 years ago when he was chasing the crime planner.

Lee plays Han Soo-hyun, the best artist in the fake money world. Like Cha, she faces J again while waiting for the moment of retribution because of an incident five years ago.

The upcoming series will be directed by Jin Hyuk, behind “The Legend of the Blue Sea” and “Master’s Sun,” and produced by Taewon Entertainment, which created “Iris” and “Operation Chromite.”
