SINGAPORE, Nov. 21 (Yonhap) -- Disney+'s hit Korean original series "Moving" will return for a second season, a senior executive said Thursday.
The surprise reveal came from Carol Choi, executive vice president of content strategy at Disney's Asia Pacific region, during the company's two-day Disney Content Showcase in Singapore.
Based on Kang Full's popular webtoon of the same name, the sci-fi action series tells the story of a group of individuals with extraordinary abilities who hide their true abilities from the world to protect their families from danger.
Calling it a unique story that combines "friendship, family and human relationships, told in a brand-new way," Choi said, "With such incredible success, I am extremely pleased to officially announce today that we have begun development on 'Moving' Season 2."
While it is "still in a very early development stage," the company will share more details as they become available, she said.
Since its debut in August 2023, "Moving" quickly rose to prominence, becoming the platform's most-watched local original series of the year.
