SEOUL, July 16 (Yonhap) -- Uhm Jung-hwa is set to make her comeback as a former top star who loses 25 years of her memory.

According to Genie TV on Wednesday its original drama "My Troublesome Star" starring Uhm will premiere at 10 p.m. on August 18.

"My Troublesome Star" is a romantic comedy that follows top celebrity Bong Cheong-ja (played by Uhm) as she suddenly finds herself living as an ordinary middle-aged woman. Her life takes a new turn when she receives unexpected help from demoted traffic police officer Dokgo Chul (played by Song Seung-heon), leading to a unique bond between the two.

This marks the first time in 10 years that Uhm and Song are reuniting on screen since the film "Wonderful Nightmare."

In a teaser released the same day, actress Jang Da-ah — known as the older sister of IVE member Jang Won-young — caught attention by portraying Cheong-ja during her glory days.

The drama is directed by Choi Young-hoon of "Good Casting", with a script by Park Ji-ha, known for "She Who Is Different by Day and Night."
