SEOUL, April 13 (Yonhap) -- Kakao Entertainment, which recently produced the SBS drama “Business Proposal,” will present more than 20 dramas and movies created by its subsidiaries, including original content, on various platforms.
Kakao Entertainment unveiled its lineup on Wednesday that will be introduced this year through its platform Kakao TV, TV, movie theaters, and OTT services.
KakaoTV’s original dramas include “Marriage White Paper,” starring Lee Yeon-hee·Lee Jin-wook, a webtoon original mystery romance work “Borrowed Body,” and a youth growth series “Aqua Man.”
“Marriage White Paper” is a realistic romance that depicts a couple in their 30s preparing for their marriage.
"Borrowed Body" is about a sociable and unsociable friend switching bodies in high school and “Aqua Man,” tells the story of young people who have been friends for nine years.
Kakao TV dramas are shorter than traditional television programs. Kakao Entertainment plans to plan and produce various mid-form works based on the original story IP (intellectual property).
The company is also preparing dramas that will be revealed on TV and OTT services.
“Gyeongseong Creature” (literal title), which stars Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee, will be produced by its subsidiary STORY & PICTURES MEDIA. Crime action drama "The Worst Evil" which deals with an undercover investigation that began in Seoul to tackle the drug trade between Korea, China and Japan, will be created by its subsidiaries Baram Pictures·Sanai Pictures.
“The Accidental Narco,” which is confirmed to air on Netflix, is gaining attention for its cast including stars Ha Jung-woo, Hwang Jung-min, Jo Woo-jin, Park Hae-soo, and Yoo Yeon-seok. The upcoming show was produced by Kakao Entertainment’s subsidiary Moonlight Film.

The drama “Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area,” which is scheduled to be released on Netflix in the first half of this year, is a remake of a popular Spanish series and will be co-produced by its subsidiary BH Entertainment with Zium Content.
The entertainment's movies also boast a strong lineup.
Director Hirokazu Kore-eda's first Korean film production, "Broker," produced by the subsidiary Zip Cinema, is scheduled to be released in June and is considered the most anticipated film of the year. The movie, starring Song Kang-ho, Gang Dong-won, Bae Doo-na, Lee Ji-eun, and Lee Joo-young, will revolve around characters associated with baby boxes.
Zip Cinema will also produce "Accident" starring Gang Dong-won, a story of an organization that fabricates contract murder into an accidental death.
Lee Jung-jae's directorial debut film "Hunt," produced by Sanai Pictures, crime film “Night Trip” starring Ha Jung-woo·Kim Nam-gil, revenge film “Remember,” produced by Moonlight Film and starring Nam Joo-hyuk·Lee Sung-min, and “The Match,” starring Lee Byung-hun·Yoo Ah-in, will also hit the theaters.
