Famous webtoon author Bak Tae-jun, who made himself known as a former "Ulzzang," has also recently been confirmed to have bought a building worth nearly 80 billion won.

According to the Ministry of Land’s real transaction price statistics and court registers, J Studio, founded by Bak Tae-jun, purchased the Emporia Building in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 79 billion won on Mar. 11.

J Studio established the right of fixed collateral of 82.2 billion won in bonds at Kookmin Bank, Nonghyup Bank and Shinhan Bank on Mar. 25 and 31.

Considering that banks usually fix collateral about 20 percent higher than the actual amount of loans when executing a secured loan, it seems that they purchased the building by borrowing about 68.5 billion won.

Cartoonist Bak Tae-jun is gaining popularity by releasing various webtoons, such as "Lookism," "Viral Hit," and "Loser Life," on Naver Webtoon.
