SEOUL, July 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korean digital content company RIDI, known for its web novels, webtoons, and e-books, is expanding into the short-form drama market.
On Monday, RIDI announced the launch of its global short drama platform “Kanta” in Japan.
The new platform will offer serialized Korean dramas in a compact format, with new titles released monthly. Upcoming August releases include "Manager Jeong with the Electronic Brain," starring comedian Jung Jun-ha and ATEEZ member Yunho.
The move reflects the growing popularity of short-form content on platforms like TikTok and the continued global enthusiasm for K-dramas.
“With Kanta, we aim to lead the influence of K-content in the short drama sector as well,” said RIDI CEO Bae Ki-sik.
